Why Mare-Wear?
Well, my name is MARE and I am a high school student studying business. I am applying what I have learned from my business classes to produce, market and sell what I am most passionate about - things to WEAR! Hence, the name, Mare-Wear!
The products I will offer are special - a portion of my proceeds will be donated to the local animal shelter. I have a love of animals, I live in a house full of adopted animals and I believe that my local animal shelter will put the money to good use. And, the items I will offer are fun, whimsical hand-made, hand-painted items offered at very economical, affordable, prices.
My product line is growing!. I have added so many fun items - perfect for teens, like myself! I hope you will take the time to browse through my items, shop and become a loyal customer. I really think you will like my DIY items - many are one of a kind - many carry the label "Swallow Your Pride" (or SYP, or SYPdesigns) which is my own clothing brand!
Check out my "Going Green" line of clothes! These clothes have been deconstructed, resewn and given a whole new look! They are recycled clothing - many with really cool screen prints that make unique, one-of-a kind, fashion! I snip, cut, re-tie, re-sew and sometimes just re-work an item into a new top, a halter, a dress and more!
I have also just added a line of flip flops that can also be custom made to your colors! Again, very affordable one-of-a-kind fashion! I wear these attention getting flip flops and everyone seems to love them! Custom bows made of grosgrain, tulle, t-shirt scraps and satin ribbons decorate these shoes into unique fashionable items!
And then there are my tote bags that make some very bold statements! Perfect for the vegan, vegetarian or PeTA supporter! I believe in animal rights, so I construct these items for a cause. I carry similar totes. These totes are available in large and small sizes! The small totes make a great purse! They are painted and heat set for durability and are washable, too!
My "Red, White & Blue Jeans" jewelry is really fun for the 4th of July...These items are made from new earrings, bracelets, etc., but use recycled fabrics from t-shirts and jeans to decorate them into unique new styles! My heart and cube necklaces have been hand-painted and are all one-of-a kind, too! I am also offering shell jewelry that was just such a good buy that I wanted to pass the bargain on to you!

P.S. This is my incredible dog, Codie, who was adopted from our local animal shelter. He was 3 years old when we brought him home. Codie has been with my family for over 3 years now - I feel lucky to have the opportunity to give Codie a good home - and in return, he has given me and my family so much pleasure!
